Throughout 2021, our online community created and posted countless cocktail recipes using Madre Espadin and Ensamble.
Below are some of our favorite recipes chosen for our ‘Shaken or Stirred’ Instagram series and for you to enjoy. Salud.
‘STRAWBERRY KIWI MARGARITA’ BY @DRINKSWITHCOURTNEY
INGREDIENTS:
+ 2 oz Madre Mezcal
+ 1 oz lime juice
+ 2 oz pineapple juice
+ 2 strawberries
+ 1 kiwi
INSTRUCTIONS:
+ Muddle strawberries and kiwi and top with ice.
+ Add the rest of the ingredients and stir.
+ Garnish with strawberry slice.
‘MEZCAL MARGARITA’ BY @IMPASTIAMOCLASSES
INGREDIENTS:
+ 2 oz Madre Mezcal
+ 1 oz fresh lime juice
+1 oz triple sec
INSTRUCTIONS:
+ Shake with ice and pour.
+ Garnish with lime and a salted rim.
‘SMOKY AND SPICY’ BY @SPIRITED_MARILITA
INGREDIENTS:
+ 1.5 oz Madre Mezcal
+ 0.5 oz Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur
+ 0.75 oz monarda syrup
+ 0.75 oz lime juice
+ 4 jalapeńo slices
INSTRUCTIONS:
+ Muddle jalepeńo with monarda syrup.
+ Add the rest of the ingredients and shake with ice.
+ Strain and garnish with a monarda flower.
‘MULBERRY-LAVENDER MEZCAL SOUR’ BY @MUDDLEANDWILDE
INGREDIENTS:
+ 2 oz Madre Mezcal
+ 0.25 oz Muddle & Wilde lavender-lemon syrup
+ 5 fresh mulberries, muddled
+ 0.25 oz fresh lime juice
+ 2 dashes of bitters
INSTRUCTIONS:
+ Combine all ingredients.
+ Garnish with dehydrated orange and lavender.
'SPACCO TUTTO' BY @CODY_BADODY
INGREDIENTS:
+ 1.25 oz Madre Mezcal
+ 0.75 oz Liquore Strega
+ 1.25 oz grilled lemon sour mix (grill lemons before squeezing)
+ 2 kumquats and a tarragon sprig, muddled
+ Whites from one egg.
INSTRUCTIONS:
+ Hard dry shake, add ice & pour.
+ Garnish with a kumquat & a tarragon sprig.
‘SIERRA MADRE’ BY @ABARABOVE
INGREDIENTS:
+ 2 oz Madre Mezcal
+ 1 oz peach syrup
+ 0.75 oz lemon juice
+ 0.75 oz egg white
+ 0.25 oz orange juice
INSTRUCTIONS:
+ Dry shake all ingredients.
+ Add ice & shake more, until frothy.
+ Double strain into glass & garnish with a bruleed peach slice & a bitter swirl on the foam.
‘PEACH & MINT INFUSED MEZCAL NEGRONI’ BY @SOUNDTRACKMYDRINK
INGREDIENTS:
+ 1.5 oz peach & mint-infused Madre Mezcal*
+ 0.75 oz Cocchi Vermouth di Torino
+ 0.5 oz Amargo Vallet
+ 0.25 oz Green Chartreuse
INSTRUCTIONS:
+ Combine all ingredients and pour over ice.
+ Garnish with a peach slice.
*Peach & Mint-Infused Madre Mezcal:
+ Muddle a peach (skin on).
+ Combine with a handful of fresh mint, a pinch of salt & 750ml of Madre Mezcal in an airtight container.
+ Infuse for 8-10 hours & double strain before storing.
‘EYE OF THE PONY’ BY @IMBIBEBEBE
INGREDIENTS:
+ 1.5 oz Madre Mezcal
+ 1 oz Nixta Licor de Elote
+ 2 dashes Dram Palo Santo Bitters
+ 1 barspoon Piloncillo Cinnamon Syrup
+ 1 oz oat milk
INSTRUCTIONS:
+ Add everything to a shaker and double strain into a glass.
+ Garnish with a grate of cinnamon.

'AUTUMN MEZCAL' BY @SPRITZANDSPICE
INGREDIENTS:
+ 2 oz of Madre Mezcal Ensamble
+ 0.75 oz fresh grapefruit juice
+ 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
+ 0.5 oz agave syrup
+ Cinnamon
INSTRUCTIONS:
+ Add everything but cinnamon to a shaker & strain over ice.
+ Garnish with cinnamon powder and a grapefruit slice.
‘CILANTRO CAESAR’ BY @GOODGOLLYMIXMOLLY
INGREDIENTS:
+ 0.3 oz Madre Mezcal
+ 1 oz tequila
+ 0.5 oz simple syrup
+ 2 strawberries
+ 1 small vine tomato
+ 1 oz lime juice
+ 2 sprigs of cilantro
INSTRUCTIONS:
+ Muddle strawberries, tomato, and cilantro.
+ Add the rest of the ingredients & shake with ice.
+ Strain and serve.
